The Quik-Coat Stage III Coating System by FOODesign offers the most versatile, innovative and reasonably priced integrated system for uniform and accurate seasoning of potato chips and other snack products. The system is designed to be used directly before a scale and bagger system with a smaller footprint and shorter drum than standard units.

The combination of drum, metering auger, and scarf feeder provides even coating of products on all sides and can match production rates of high speed scale/bagger units.

The Quik-Coat Stage III Coating System has the advantage of substantially reducing clean-up time when changing from one seasoning type to another.

The Quik-Coat drum utilizes a proprietary design that enables the light weight plastic drum assembly to pivot 90 degrees for cleaning. This unique feature provides easy access to scale heads and reduces the possibility of damage during cleaning. The drum is easily lifted from the support stand for cleaning and spare drums can be provided to allow for quick change-overs.
The Quik-Coat auger dispenser is all stainless steel construction with a drop bottom door for quick change-over of coatings. Unit is supplied with a single drive and positively driven agitator. The drive is directly connected to the auger and agitator, which eliminates the maintenance requirement when using chains and gears. Augers and agitator are completely removable for cleaning.
A separately driven Quik-Coat scarf feeder allows the operator to select a speed that optimizes spreading of the seasoning. Quick response time allows for precise delivery of the seasoning. The scarf feeder is designed to easily move out of the drum for cleaning.
Special controls with touch screens and sensors allow the precise seasoning rate to be automatically matched with the product flowing through the drum. The simplicity of the controls eliminates sensitive weigh cells and proprietary programming while providing excellent acquisition of seasoning targets.
