The VHE-TherMax heat exchanger system is used to heat cooking oil for use in frying or cooking food products.  The system consists of a highly engineered radiant tube assembly, fully insulated chamber/shell, controls, and a high efficiency burner with complete gas train.  VHE-TherMax heat exchanger systems have been used successfully for over 20 years in cooking oil applications.
 
Features and Benefits

  • All stainless steel serpentine coils with small diameter tube arranged to provide the highest efficiency possible.
  • Fully hydro-tested. All units are designed for high velocity oil flow to ensure maximum heat transfer.
  • The VHE-TherMax is offered with burner systems to operate at low noise levels for in plant installations. Each burner is fully tested upon completion of fabrication to ensure proper operation. Offered with Factory Mutual gas train components and UL electrical components.
  • Modulated burner designed to keep oil at constant oil temperature. Fuel-efficient burner used to reduce cost of operation.
  • Heavy duty support frame and casing ensure years of demanding use in the most difficult of processing plants.
  • Fully insulated casing is standard with low profile designs for processing plants where space is minimal. Units are also offered for installation outdoors where in plant installation is not possible.
  • Full temperature control is maintained in the unit with a continuous oil circulation system. Constant and zone control systems are offered to provide total control in cooking.
  • A wide range of sizes available from 500,000 Btu/h to 4,000,000 Btu/h.  Higher capacities and alternate configurations are available upon request.
  • Control panel supplied with stainless steel NEMA 4X enclosure, temperature control, flame safety control, start and stop controls, and optional PLC interface.

 

Applications

Applications: 
  • Used in conjunction with an Immerso-Cook fryer to cook a variety of snack, frozen entrees and other prepared foods.
  • Examples include potato chips, tortilla chips, corn chips, french fries, fruit pies, egg rolls, nut roasting and many other food products.
