FOODesign's Electro-Mag conveyors add yet another conveying solution to our catalog of machinery.  Electro-Mag feeders and feed hoppers utilize the latest in electromagnetic vibratory drive technology to provide a quick, accurate, and gentle method to convey products.  We have a wide variety of pan designs and sizes to fit your particular application.
 
Electro-Mag feeders consist of three main components: pan, vibratory drive and controls.  The pan is the product contact/conveying surface usually consisting of a sheet-metal trough and an external framework for stiffness.  Pans can also be tubular or V-shape depending on the application.  The vibratory drive provides the conveying motion using vibration; the frequency of the vibration determines the speed of the conveyor.  The controls utilize special control circuitry that allows the user to adjust the frequency of the vibratory drive.  When coupled to a PLC and photoeye sensor, the Electro-Mag can accurately measure product volume and control downstream processes based on the volumetric output of the feeder.
 
When a hopper is added to the Electro-Mag it can store product to prevent downstream surges or act as a bulk material depository (e.g. dumping totes and hand feeding into the hopper).
